The Calgary Zoo isn’t just a place to visit exotic animals!
Yes, the hippos, gorillas, penguins and many other wildlife are all still waiting to see you, but we’re exploring the zoo’s culinary offerings!
Our evenings here this year have been superb, so now we’re coming back for a winemaker dinner with Leslie D’Andrea of Noble Ridge Winery in the Okanagan Valley! Leslie, and her husband Jim, created the winery in 2001 and we will hear the story of their passion and abundant optimism to turn a stretch of dirt into an award-winning winery!
And as well as everything the zoo has to offer outside, we’ll be enjoying a sparkling reception followed by a four course meal in Grazers Restaurant, where Executive Chef James Neilson and Sous Chef Felipe Flores have created a very special four course menu for us, focusing on the importance of utilizing local suppliers, conservation, sustainable seafood options, and minimizing our footprint on the environment - and each course is paired with a different wine!
