This is a Hands-on Cooking & Wine Experience
Have you always wanted to learn how to make your favorite sushi dishes, like shrimp tempura, nigiri and maki rolls? This class takes you above and beyond every day entertaining to teach you essential knife cuts, techniques and terminology. Learn how to break down exotic ingredients and turn them into Japanese edible works of art under the guidance of our skilled Chef. Enjoy a glass of wine (or two) while our Chef demonstrates the tricks of the trade and leave our kitchen as an ultimate sushi master with a few new entertaining tricks up your sleeve!
You will first be greeted with a reception featuring wine and light apps where you'll have a striking view of our impressive open demonstration kitchen. Enjoy a glass of wine and after your Chef walks you through the preparations of your meal, you’ll don an apron and roll up your sleeves! Once you've masterfully completed your delicious meal, you’ll get to sit down with the class and savor every bite. Your personal sommelier will present different wines to enjoy with the incredible meal that you’ve created.
Throughout the evening you'll learn about the recipes, food preparation, and the "why" behind the wine pairings from both your Chef and Somm.
All AWS cooking classes include an emphasis on wine, because that's who we are! You can expect 2 different wines to sample during reception/cooking and two wines paired with your meal for a total of approximately 3+ glasses. If you would like to add more wine to your experience, you can taste 32 different wines in our Enomatics (wine dispensing system) or you can order wine by the glass or bottle.
