Dante Alighieri the author of the Divine Comedy spent many years in exile in Verona and when he died, his son Pietro bought this estate in 1353. Twenty generations later both the house and the estate still belong to Count Pierasilve a direct descendant of Dante Alighieri.

This estate located in the middle of a vineyard consist of eight apartments for 2 and 4 people and it is managed by Masi Wines.. During our five days in Valpolicella daily bus excursion will bring you not only to visit and taste world famous wines produced by Masi, Fabiano, Zenato etc. but also to visit the wine producing areas of Soave, Valpolicella and Bardolino,. In addition you will experience the beauty of costal towns around Garda Lake along with Verona,Venice,Valeggio sul Mincio and Francia Corta another wine producing region west of Verona famous for Italy's closest rival to Champagne. After spending the five days in Verona you get transferred to the 4 stars residence located in the province north of Veneto called Alto Adige This region was part of Austria until 1918, it became Italian after the 1st War World..For the area predominant, traditions, architecture and German language spoken, you will feel in Austria and not in Italy. However this area is very important to Italy also for the wines produced along a 75 km valley surrounded by the Dolomite mountains called Weinstrasse. Although with German names these wines have distinct Italian flavours. During your stay there many area towns will be visited, the famous posh sky towns of Cortina, Val Gardena, Andalo, San Martino di Castrozza. Etc. On October 12 you will be transferred to Verona for your flight home or for an extended vacation

Note: Marquis Piero Antinori in his book “The Hills of Chianti” writes that the success of Italian wines in North America is also due to for the work of this Association created in 1982 when under the auspices of Amb. Paolo Fulci.this Association commenced to promote Italian wines in Canada through eno-gastronomic events and tours to Italy. In 2015 during our trip to Piedmont, Expo and Valtellina.twenty members of this Association had the pleasure to meet in Alba Amb. Fulci (today President of Ferrero) when he hosted us for dinner. Since 2000 with sixteen trips to Italy, planned and guided by R. Meloni hundreds of society members were introduced to the diverse and unique wine regions of Italy. Rodolfo as President of this Association and as Italian Consul in Atlantic Canada, a position he held for over 33 years, has amassed a large database of local epicurean, cultural, and entertainment delights for each region of Italy. A dozen or so of society members have travelled with him up to six times on previous trips and many are the testimonials
