PROVENANCE (from the French provenir, "to come from"), is the chronology of the ownership, custody or location of a historical object.

Cos d’Estournel, is a definitive Chateau of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, in Bordeaux, France - a Second Growth in the original Bordeaux Wine Classification of 1855. Cos (the S is pronounced) means a "hill of pebbles” and was named so in 1810 by Louis-Gaspard d’Estournel and is presently owned by Michel Reybier who seeks to bring glory to the brand.

The estate controls 100 hectares and is famous for its use of Cabernet and Merlot, and annual production is approx 32,000 cases between all the wines at the property.
