Join us as we continue our Musique et Cuisine Dinner series at L’Auberge Chez François on Sunday, February 19th, 2016 at 6:00pm. Noted jazz vocalist Lena Seikaly will join us once again to sing jazz classics by American and French composers.
This intimate musical evening will feature music from Duke Ellington and the swing era to the Cole Porter songbook to the French gypsy jazz of Django Reinhardt—and much in between—with Lena on vocals and the great Steve Herberman on guitar.
With three albums to her credit, Lena Seikaly has been named “one of D.C.’s preeminent jazz singers” (The Washington Post) and “a contender for D.C.’s best singer" (Washington City Paper). Most recently, she was selected as a semifinalist in the 2015 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Vocals Competition. Steve Herberman is an acclaimed jazz guitarist with three albums to his name as a leader, and many more as a collaborator. He has performed with legends such as Keter Betts and Buster Williams.
Please join us for a very special musical evening that is not to be missed.
