The focus of the Wine Evaluation and Food Pairing workshop is to develop a basic knowledge of wine, wine evaluation, wine description and wine and food pairing. Learn and identify basic aromas found in wine using aroma “samplers”. Through different tastings, understand how food and wine can complement or conflict.

Additional Instructions:
Must be at least 21 years old to participate
Each workshop is limited to 20 people
A light meal should be eaten before the workshop
Instructor Biography
Robert E. M. Wurz, Ph.D. – Robert is a native of Napa Valley, CA. He received his doctorate in wine chemistry from the University of California, Davis. He has taught wine making classes at Patrick Henry Community College in Virginia, at Stonefield Cellars Winery in Stokesdale, NC, and is currently the winemaker for Stonefield Cellars Winery in Stokesdale, NC.
