Matching Wine with Cheese? 'Been there / done that. Wine with Food? She literally wrote that book.
But how about matching Wine with Art? Last year, Jaclyn Stuart -- Wisconsin's only Certified Sommelier and Gourmet -- proved that sipping just the right wine while viewing a striking work of art can boost your enjoyment of both!
This year, we've upped the ante: Matching Wine, Art, and Music! Jaclyn has selected 6 paintings and silkworks, an equal number of high-end wines, and musicians who will complement the walk-around viewing/tasting/listening.
Sensory overload! You must experience it to get the rush.
This unique tasting opportunity will be a part of SVA - Sheboygan Visual Artists' monthly Final Friday event on February 24th. “Sipping Sounds of Color” will showcase paintings, drawings and illustrations by Dr. Edmund Dy, the colorful silks of Patty Aker. and artwork by several other SVA members. Doors open at 6:00 pm, free and open to the public. The “sipping” part of the evening begins around 7:30 p.m.; tickets for that will be $25 at the door or $20 by phoning a reservation to 920-459-8787.
Light appetizers all evening. Symphonic sounds by an 8-person ensemble, "Music Union" will round out the evening from 8:00 to 9:30.
