In this introductory white wine series we will focus on the “Noble” varieties and their growing regions along with select grapes that are gaining recognition as "international varieties" and are readily available on today’s shelves. You will understand how each is made, how to taste and evaluate, and ultimately you will discover the style(s) of white wine you most enjoy!

Discover a diverse assortment of white wines and how to decipher a wine label. We will focus on the following grapes and their key growing regions: Chenin Blanc (France & South Africa), Gewürztraminer (France), Riesling (Germany, Washington State), Torrontés (Argentina) and Viognier (France, California).

Wine 102B Explore White Grapes & Growing Regions
Tuesday, March 6 from 6:00-8:00 at Paon
Delve deeper into the considerable variety of white wines and learn how to correctly serve and store. We will concentrate on the following grapes and major growing regions: Albarino (Spain), Chardonnay (France, California), Pinot Grigio/Gris (Oregon, Italy), Sauvignon Blanc (France, New Zealand) and Semillon (France).
