Wine To Remember, held on May 06, 2012, is an upscale, annual fund raising event held at the award-winning Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort in the heart of Tucson’s Catalina Foothills.
From the moment of arrival at the valet station to departure with unique and sought-after auction items, guests are treated to the best hospitality that Southern Arizona has to offer.
The Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort, is the recipient of the National Geographic Traveler’s Top Choice Award for all of Arizona, provides a casual yet elegant setting for Wine To Remember. This beautiful resort was popular in the 1940s and 1950s with such celebrities as Howard Hughes, Joseph Cotton, Clark Gable, Jane Wyman, Gregory Peck and John Wayne. In fact, one popular story is that Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn fell in love at the Hacienda del Sol. Today, the Hacienda del Sol is helping to create new memories…for the Alzheimer’s Association.
A silent auction of unique and sought-after items will be held in Casa Feliz, a beautiful pueblo-style building designed in the tradition of, famous Tucson-area architect, Josias Joessler.
This will be followed by a live auction of unique items. This aspect of the event is both exciting and entertaining, as bidders one-up each other for the privilege of taking home one-of-a-kind items that in the past have included such items as the rental of an exotic automobile, a Washington DC visit escorted by former U.S. Congressman Jim Kolbe or a day of pampering at a luxurious spa.
Guests will mingle throughout the event, enjoying the atmosphere and camaraderie, invited celebrities, and community leaders.
Wine to Remember provides a unique marketing opportunity to reach a highly desirable clientele while supporting the needs of our community. For more information, please contact Heriberto Contreras at 520-322-6601 or via email at heriberto.contreras@alz.org.
