Wine OR Wine & Food
This weekend's premium flight features sparkling wines from Champagne, France. Savor a 2-oz pour of all three for only $24.
NV Beau Joie Special Cuvee Brut
Beau is a unique, zero-dosage Champagne with a "perfect level of sweetness and a clean taste from start to finish." Naturally derived from the choice grapes of Epernay, France, and since it has none of the sugars normally added to champagnes, it bubbles with a just the right kind of crisp, light perfection. 60 percent Pinot Noir and 40 percent Chardonnay.
NV Brut Souverain
The color is characterized by a brilliant light straw-gold. Effervescence is dense and persistent, with fine, regular bubbles. Initially the nose is precise, expressive and refreshing, with notes of citrus and yellow fruit; floralfragrances (vine flowers, elderflowers) and pastry aromas (brioche, toast, grilled almond) follow. A lively, fresh and balanced attack, with pastry, spice (vanilla) and fruity (morello cherry, candied plum) notes. The full texture precedes a clean, refreshing finish marked by citrus fruit aromas. A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with a small amount of Pinot Meunier.
NV Demoiselle Brut Rose
Lush and creamy, displaying vanilla-tinged cherry, toast and smoke notes. This is still fresh, despite the richness, with a lingering cherry, tea and autumn leaf aftertaste. Drink now through 2012. 91 POINTS, WINE SPECTATOR
