2/12 4-6pm Sake- YEEEE HA! Texas Sake!
Yes- you heard me right… Who knew?!
Come out to Kimono Wine Bar on February 12th to meet the Toji (brewer) of Texas Sake Company http://www.txsake.com/ and have a chance to taste the first sake made in Texas from Organic Texas Rice! Texas has a long rice growing tradition. For a long period during the early 20th century, Texas was the second largest rice producer in the USA. The rice we use in our saké is a variety grown from Japanese seed that arrived in Texas with a Japanese colonist more than 100 years ago. This history is what allows us to make great saké and we’re putting this long tasting history in a bottle. This is our first international Texas Saké tasting event! 2000 yen per person includes sake and snacks. Meet the brewer and find out about this first ever sake from organic Texas rice. RSVP to Lauren@kimonowinebar.com
