Come celebrate President Lincoln's 203rd birthday over President's Day Weekend and enjoy a slice of history with a glass of wine.

Bringing the past to life will be historian Darroch Greer, who worked as a researcher for the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library in Springfield, Ill.  Greer will present anecdotes and lore that highlight the role music played in Lincoln's life. The afternoon festivities feature live music with popular songs of the time performed by various musicians including Susie Glaze and Steve Rankin who also played a part in the Lincoln Presidential Museum performing songs from the Civil War era.  President Lincoln, portrayed by actor Steve Griffith, will present the renowned Farewell to Springfield address - as well as a bawdy joke or two. Puppeteer Kevin Carlson will no doubt throw in some irreverent political humor with his sidekick Captain Bucky! In addition to sight and sound, you will be able to taste history with an Old Tavern Supper with recipes from the era, recreated by winemaker Stephan Bedford and his culinary team. And though Lincoln never partook, many a glass of wine will be raised in his honor!
