Local Wine Events

Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts is hosting a fun and competitive wine tasting event on Wednesday, February 29th 2012 as part of the Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival. The Blind Tasting Challenge will ask participants to taste and answer questions about wines in an attempt to win bragging rights and prizes.

The Blind Tasting Challenge will be open to 3 categories:

1. Hospitality Professionals

2. Chefs & Cooks

3. Consumers

Participants in each group will blind taste a lineup of wines provided by event sponsor The Mark Anthony Group.

ALL entrants will be rewarded with bags containing a variety of wine-related booty, including a Riedel glass, discounts at the school’s Bistro 101, a corkscrew and a “special mystery gift”.

The winner in each category will be announced at the Annual Awards Lunch, have their names posted in the International Festival Tasting Room, receive an engraved Riedel decanter – AND the winner of the Wine Trade category wins a $500 cash prize!
