Join Clive Coates for a fantastic evening of delicious wines from one of burgundy’s greatest domains. At one Time Lalou Bize-Leroy was a major partner and co-director of Domaine de la Romanee-Conti, but in the early 90’s she left and focused on her own label producing some of the greatest and awe inspiring wines of all Burgundy. Already in 1988, she had acquired significant vineyard holdings for Domaine Leroy. During the 1990s, she established Domaine Leroy as one of the leading Burgundy wineries. She is a great advocate of biodynamics and is fanatical about controlling yields, which gives her wines their trademark, incredible concentration of aroma and flavor. No expense is spared in this first class operation, and the prices of these great wines reflect that fact. The question faced to consumers and collectors alike is where you can find them! Well here is your chance to taste though a full range of appellations and vintages from this spectacular Domaine. Clive will guide us through these top burgundies at Alain Ducasse’s delicious midtown bistro Benoit. Wines include: 1999 Richebourg ; 1989 Chambertin; 1990 Latricieres Chambertin; 1998 Clos Vougeot; 1996 Romanee St. Vivant; 1991 Clos de la Roche; 1998 Bonnes Mares d'Auvenay; 1997 and 1996 Mazis Chambertin d'Auvenay; 1990 Nuits St. Georges Les Boudots; 1999 and 1998 Vosne Romanee 1er Beaux-Monts and 1992 Volnay 1er Santenots.
