     After a widely successful inaugural “Melt Her Heart On Lake Minnetonka” Dinner, featuring their one of a kind winter ice village….BayView Event Center is opening up their Winter Ice Village to the public once again on February 14h, 2012 for an exceptionally romantic, unique and value -packed night out. Embrace an evening of romance, elegance, comedy and most importantly, your sweetheart this Valentine’s day.

SHOP: Prior to dinner, experience shopping at a Valentine inspired boutique benefitting the Global Team for Local Initiatives and a silent auction benefitting the ICA Foodshelf.

LIVE:   Our second annual “Melt Your Heart on Lake Minnetonka” Valentine’s dinner this year will surely offer something for everyone.  Impress your special someone with this one of a kind, Minnesotan Valentine’s Day. The atmosphere will be warm, inviting, romantic and most importantly, UNIQUE & DIFFERENT. Each guest will be transported to a wonderland that will rival anything Alice ever experienced according to BayView Sales Manager, Michael Jensen.  The expansive courtyard will have thousands of twinkle lights. There will be six roaring fires strategically placed along the short journey to Lake Minnetonka’s famous ice village which boasts Minnesota’s only Ice bar on ice. Once each couple reaches the ice of Lake Minnetonka, they will receive a cup of Bayview’s homemade whipped cocoa (made with real chocolate, steamed milk, cinnamon and Nutmeg). They will then enjoy a  romantic, horse drawn carriage ride (the carriage this year is an historic Russian sleigh over 100 years old) to the village along a pathway of candle luminaries, bonfires, lit trees and endless stars. Once at the village, you and your special someone will sip cocktails at our hand carved ice bar and enjoy chef prepared appetizers

      After the social hour on the ice you will make your way back to our historical and beautiful event center, overlooking the courtyard.  You will indulge in a four course, candlelit dinner, featuring a duet entrée of Sole Florentine and Bacon Wrapped Grilled Tenderloin, artfully prepared by Executive Chef Jose Gonzalez.

LAUGH: Following dinner, laugh the evening away with Excelsior’s Funny Valentine; award winning
 comedian Kristin Anderson.
