Wine Highway Weekend at Tiger Mountain Vineyards

Mar. 23-25: Spring Wine Highway weekend, sponsored by the Winegrowers Association of Georgia. Visit nine wineries with a $25 pass. (See www.georgiawine.org) Saturday, the 24th, Tiger Mountain will feature music by the popular Mountain Hoo-Doo duo and its native American Norton wine in the newly renovated historic red barn from 1 to 4 p.m., as well as tastings at the winery with Sweetgrass Dairy cheeses and artisan breads. Wine highway visitors Friday through Sunday will be eligible to enter a drawing for one bottle of Tiger Mountain's 2010 Petit Manseng, with their receipt for any purchased wine. The 2010 Petit recently won the first Jefferson Cup ever awarded a Georgia winery and a 2011 silver medal in the San Francisco International, competing with the nation's top Napa, Sonoma and other wines.
