An experience for your senses!  Plan a weekend getaway to Skyland Resort (mile 41.7 on Skyline Drive) in Shenandoah National Park and include a wonderful culinary experience.  A Lovingston Vintner will be your guide for this delightful 4-course dinner highlighted with wine pairings.  Start your visit by arriving early for this event and then add an extra night to truly relax and unwind.

The menu includes:  Appetizer - Braised Short Rib with Bleu Cheese, Praline Bacon, Garlic Crostini paired with Petit Manseng 2011.  Salad - Virginia Strawberry Salad with Arugula, Upland Cress, Manchego, Banyuls Vinaigrette, Balsamic Syrup paired with Rose 2011.  Choice of one entree:  Chipino (Scallops, Shrimp, Mussels, Lobster, Clams, Spicy Saffron Tomato Broth), Saffron Bread Stick paired with Estate Reserve 2008 or Coffee Herb Lamb Chops, Yellow Grits, Mushroom Ragout, Fig Demi paired with Estate Reserve 2008.  Dessert:  Chocolate Beet Cake, Candied Beets and Raspberry Sauce paired with LOVWINE 2009.

$359.00 includes Friday night’s lodging and dinner w/wine pairings for 2p, Shenandoah etched wine glasses, breakfast for 2p on Saturday morning, applicable gratuities and surcharges.  Taxes are additional.
