Join us for the second Underground Tasting Club event of 2012 featuring a tutored tasting shootout comparing a range of quality, benchmark Bourbons: Jim Beam Black, Knob Creek, Booker’s Bourbon, Maker’s Mark, and Maker’s 46.

Our expert host, Matt Jones, Maker’s Mark Distillery Diplomat and Jim Beam Brands Bourbon Whiskey Ambassador to Canada will lead a lively discussing and tasting in a cocktail style format.

The fine folks at Murray Street Kitchen (enRoute: Canada’s 10 Best New Restaurants award winner if you haven’t been) will be designing a few snacks to go along with the Bourbon sampling.  They’ve also arranged for a special offer (details TBD) for Underground Club members…

When & Where: February 8, 2012 5:30-7pm at Events Instyle venue (great space in the heart of the byward market), 107 Murray Street, Ottawa, ON K1M 5M5

Who this session is for (and not for)? It’s for the positive and open minded.  People who are looking for the opportunity to try 5 different Bourbons as well as those interested in hearing from an industry expert about how Bourbon is made and enjoyed.

If you have tried each of these products and know everything about them you may want to pass.  If you are looking for a meal this tasting won’t work for you as the drink samples are the stars of the show and only light tasty snacks will be served – plan to eat before or after to make a night out of this.

What: admission includes exclusive training with Matt Jones, bourbon samples, product information, and bourbon friendly gourmet snacks from Murray Street (plan to have dinner before or after this is a tutored tasting – maybe try Murray Street if you haven’t been in a while?) all in the unique Events InStyle space.
