For this event, the main Chianti Classico wine festival of the year, the large piazza of Greve in Chianti is lined with stands belonging to various Chianti Classico wine producers, including many of the most important ones. By buying a glass, you are entitled to sample a many wines as you please. There is additional entertainment from time to time throughout the day but wines are the central focus. It is possible to reach Greve from Florence by comfortable bus but note that the last buses head back to Florence quite early (6.30 to 7.30 - check the bus timetable link from http://www.greve-in-chianti.com )
