Described as a Mixer for the Arts, guests may mingle while enjoying an art show with Leslie Vasquez, live music by Herb Boxhorn, complimentary appetizers from Bella Cucina, and a no-host Andis wine bar.

If you haven’t been to the eye-catching, ultra modern and innovative Andis winery and tasting room, here’s your opportunity.  Owners Janis Akuna and her husband Andy Friedlander opened it a little over a year ago. “Andis” comes from parts of their first names. Thanks to winemaker Mark McKenna their wines are making a big hit. One in particular, which may or may not be why AmadorArts chose this site, is the 2009 Painted Fields. A blend of nine different varieties, it’s an artistic endeavor.

At any of these arts mixers, expect to see a variety of people. Of course artists of all types attend, but many others who just like to meet and have fun. There’s always a raffle and other surprises.

AmadorArts is a private, public benefit non-profit organization that has served the region with arts-related events and arts education since 1982. Phone: 209-223-9038 or visit its website www.amadorarts.org.
