Independence Residences, Inc. (IRI) is a non profit human services agency providing residential and community supports to people with developmental disabilities since 1984. Located in Woodhaven Queens, we operate 15 residences in Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx.  We also have Day Programs in these boroughs, a Crisis Intervention Team, participate in EESMP and Bridges to Health programs.  Serving the Woodhaven community at large as well as training individuals to work in society is the Independence Cafe.  The highly trained staff and managers of IRI work together daily "turning dreams to reality".  The event features specially chosen cuisine, live jazz and raffle prizes.  Portions of the wine you purchase will also come to IRI to help further our programs and services.
