Truffle dinner, wine tasting and silent auction to benefit Stokes County Schools BackPack Program. A minimum donation of $50 per person is requested to support this program which sends a backpack of nutritious food for the week-end home every Friday afternoon for a child at risk for hunger. Proceeds from this dinner will go directly to the support of that program.
The dinner will be preceeded by a wine tasting where participants can purchase their favorite wines to accompany their dinner. A silent auction is planned as well.
Chef Andy Furness of Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro will be catering the event. While the menu is still in the planning stages, truffles (donated by Truffles NC, LLC) will be plentiful and included in every course from salad to dessert. We will serve local grass fed beef, seafood, asparagus and pasta. Dessert will include truffled ice cream. Coffee and Tea will be included in the price of dinner.
