What do the terms old world and new world
really mean when it comes to wines? In this class, let your palate discover the
subtle and not-so-subtle differences between a traditional, European style of
winemaking, and the modern style of winemaking we see in the US, Australia and
South America. We'll unveil some of these differences through blind comparison
tastings of the same varietals - compare an old and new world Chardonnay for
example, or an old and new world Cabernet. What makes them different? Is your
palate skewed toward new world or old world wines? You may be
surprised!
