The 15th-annual New Times “Original” Beerfest returns on Saturday, March 31, 2012, from 6 to 11 p.m. to Huizenga Plaza, 32 E. Las Olas Blvd. Beerfest, the oldest and largest in the area, offers guests craft beer, live music, televised basketball games, good food, and great times.

This year, 4,000 young professionals and beer aficionados will descend on Huizenga Plaza in downtown Fort Lauderdale to sample more than 100 of the world’s best local and international beers while enjoying music from a live band, watching the men’s college basketball championship games on large screens and receiving special offers from local vendors. Big 105.9 radio personality Doc Reno will host the event.

Tickets for the New Times “Original” Beerfest cost $30 each (prepaid online at NewTimesBeerfest.com) or $40 at the door. Attendees may also choose to enjoy the VIP Experience in the VIP lounge, an area where guests will enjoy the premium Beerfest adventure, including unlimited liquor samples, food samples from some of Fort Lauderdale’s best restaurants, unique craft beers only available in VIP, comfortable seating, premium stage views, giveaways, and more. VIP ticket holders will also have access to the entire event. Limited VIP tickets are available for $65 prepaid online or $75 at the door. Early bird pricing is an additional $5 off the presale price and can be purchased at www.NewTimesBeerfest.com through February 24. Tickets for both general admission and VIP are limited, and restricted to those aged 21 and up.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Children’s Starlight Foundation, whose mission is to improve the quality of life for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses and life-altering injuries by providing entertainment, education and family activities that help them cope with the pain, fear and isolation of prolonged illness.
