Squash 101 for singles: Best Chefs' to host cooking class for singles at Chicago class location on Feb. 16th

Cooking with the Best Chefs, the Chicago area's oldest cooking school, will host a cooking class for singles, Squash 101 Anyone? on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, 7-9 p.m., with Alan Wise, Executive Chef, Blue Star Bistro & Wine Bar, Chicago. The class will be taught at Best Chefs' Chicago class location, Blue Star Bistro & Wine Bar, 1209 N. Noble St., in Chicago. Blue Star is at Division and Noble, only a block from the Blue Line station and the Kennedy Expressway. Dishes to be taught include: Butternut Squash Bisque with sherry and Granny Smith apple, topped with a balsamic glaze; Roasted Acorn Squash Risotto with goat and amaroni syrup; Spaghetti Squash with parsley, rosemary, and thyme; and Maple Glazed Roast Loin of Pork with squash and cashew sauce. Samples and Recipes are provided, along with complimentary wine pairiings. This class is open to singles age 21 and over. Name badges will be provided. An after party will be held with a cash bar from 9-Midnight. Advance Registration Required. $40 per nonmember and $25 per member. Late registration increases $10 after 2/10/12. Free parking is available across the street from the restaurant. Anyone 21 or over can attend this class.
