The second annual Putnam County International Wine & Food Fest is taking place Saturday, August 11th (11am to 6pm) and Sunday, August 12, 2012 (Noon - 5pm) at Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park, 201 Gypsy Trail Road, Carmel , NY .

While sipping on fine wines from a variety of winemakers, tasters will be able to enjoy some of the area's best arts and crafts and live music all weekend long. Visitors will also enjoy the eco village, children’s activity area, fresh produce at the farmers market, plus local and international craft beers in the beer garden. Local chefs will be on hand offering fun and informative cooking demonstrations on both days of the event. A portion of the proceeds benefits Feed the Children's, “Americans Feeding Americans’ Campaign” which benefits local food pantries and educational charities.

Getting there will be a breeze, as the Putnam County Wine Fest has teamed up with promotional partner Metro North to provide a rail and admission getaway package. Visitors will be offered shuttle busses from the Harlem Line’s Southeast Train Station, The Hudson Line’s Cold Spring Train Station to make an easy connection for visitors from New York City and Albany.

The event is sponsored in part by Mahopac News, Putnam Visitor's Bureau, Eventful Magazine and WFAS Radio.
