The Southern Arizona Women’s Chorus, under the direction of Terrie Ashbaugh, MM, will be hosting “Wine, Women, and Song”, their annual wine-tasting and silent auction fundraiser in March, 2012.  Fundraising is to support the SAWC in accomplishing their mission to perform a versatile and varied choral repertoire for women’s voices in order to benefit and educate the diverse Southern Arizona community and beyond.  Donations will allow SAWC to:

·         Continue to grow its programs of collaboration with local and national artists and to continue to provide high quality, diverse musical experiences to the Southern Arizona community.

·         Be ambassadors of the Southern Arizona community on a national and international level

·         To commission new works for women’s voices.

·         Develop a tuition scholarship program to provide support to enable the participation of members from all socio-economic backgrounds.

·         Perform at various community events: festivals, schools, and “Senior Communities”.  Many Senior Community performances are offered to these facilities at no charge, thus are supported entirely by donations.

·         Present workshops to the local community, including schools, by bringing in nationally recognized artists.
