The public is invited to attend the 31st annual “Schoolhouse Music Evenings” concert series at St. Mark’s-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church in Los Olivos. Priest and Rector Rev. Dr. Randall Day remarks, “St. Mark’s is delighted to bring world-class music to the Santa Ynez Valley.  The phenomenal musicians in this year’s series will offer audiences an extraordinary listening experience without a drive to Los Angeles or San Francisco.”  The series offers a varied program of distinguished artists who will perform in the superior acoustics of St. Mark’s church.  Schoolhouse Music Evenings originated in the historic Los Olivos school building on the nearby Dunn School campus, thus giving the series its name. The church is located at 2901 Nojoqui Avenue at the corner of Alamo Pintado Avenue in downtown Los Olivos. Series originator and music director Rose Knoles comments, “We are grateful for the continuing support and increasing participation of music enthusiasts in our area.  St. Mark’s is thrilled to continue offering a first-rate venue for musical excellence.”

The 2012 season will feature the following performing artists:

In addition to touring, they serve as trio-in-residence at the Idyllwild Arts Summer Program in Southern California.
