Wine OR Wine & Food
New World wines have become so popular with the British wine buyer that we can often become blase, just defaulting to what we know. However, even in the last few years, great advances have been made in wine production, technology, the skills of the winemakers and the variety of grape varieties the New World are embracing. This is a comprehensive exploration of the best of the New World including Australia, New Zealand, North and South Amrica and South Africa.
This is your opportunity to learn more about the producing regions, grape varieties, characteristics and variety of New World wines. As we taste our way through 15 wines, interspersed with a great 3-course lunch, throughout the day we examine all the facets of New World wine you need to know to rapidly increase your choice, understanding and enjoyment of wines.
A typical schedule is:
1030 Welcome drink and intro to the day
1100 How to taste wine – aromas, taste, acidity, tannins, sweetness, body and the influence of oak
