This is our most popular 1 day course, and a great opportunity to introduce yourself to the fascinating and diverse world of wine. As we taste our way through 16 wines, interspersed with a great 3-course lunch, throughout the day our entertaining expert will guide you through all the facets of wine you need to to know, to rapidly increase your choice, understanding and enjoyment of wines.

1100 How to taste wine – aromas, taste, acidity, tannins, sweetness, body and the influence of oak
1145 The world’s main white grape varieties – regions, characteristics and diversity
1230 Sparkling wines – champagne, prosecco, cava and the rest
1315 Lunch. 3 courses matched with wine
1415 The world’s main red grape varieties – regions, characteristics and diversity
1500 Food and wine matching – hints and tips for the perfect choices
1530 Sweet wines – vastly underestimated and surprising food matches
