Wine OR Wine & Food

            Yadkin County now boasts 14 tasting rooms, and every one will be participating in the event.  Each ticket holder will be assigned a starting winery, where they will receive a souvenir wine glass and a map to all of the wineries in the county.  At each winery, a selected red wine (2 oz pour) will be served, along with a small portion of food paired to the wine.  Ticket prices are $25, and are available at the Yadkin County Visitors Center in Yadkinville, on line at www.visityadkin.com, or by phone 1-877-4YADKIN.  There will be a limited number of tickets available and must be purchased no later than Wednesday, February 24, 2010.     

            Menu ideas are still being discussed and will provide a wide range different food and wine pairings.  Many of the lodging providers in the county are also offering specials for our visitors, and transportation can be arranged for groups.

            Visitors are encouraged to come and spend the weekend in Yadkin. The event will run from noon to 5:00 pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday.  The event is being sponsored by the Yadkin County and Town of Yadkinville Tourism Development Authorities.  For more information, see www.visityadkin.com, or call the Yadkin County Visitors Center at 1-877-4YADKIN.
