Whisky 101: Session II
February 24, 2012 (Fri)
from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
New York, NY
Cost: $87.50
Event ID #401395
This two-part series (which may be enjoyed individually or as a whole) takes you on a sensory exploration of the world’s most beloved grain-based distillate. Designed to lead the whisky neophyte into a better-than-basic understanding or to fill in the gaps in experienced imbiber’s knowledge, we’ll walk you through the history, understanding, and (most importantly) enjoyment of all types of whisky.
This class will focus on the many factors which may affect a finished whisky’s flavor. As we taste through a variety of examples, we’ll discuss the influence of different types of wood, the effect of age (both the good and the bad), and the many levels of peat.
