Tasting and Understanding Spirits from Micro Distilleries with Michael Neff
February 10, 2012 (Fri)
from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
New York, NY
Cost: $89.00
Event ID #401386
The revolution in distillation in this country has been profound, and it is most evident in the host of small, boutique distilleries making unique spirits that have cropped up in the United States in the last few years. These "micro-distilleries" have put out some amazing spirits, and have given the Big Boys a run for their money in terms of craft, creativity, and innovation.
This class, run by Michael J. Neff of Ward III and The Rum House, will focus on products from some of the best of these micro-distilleries' offerings. We will touch on what distillation is, how it has changed, and how these fine products compare to the spirits put out by their corporate brethren. Most importantly, we’ll taste a wide range of products from distilleries both local and non, to truly gain a sense of how delicious these craft spirits can be.
