Please join us to enjoy the latest, exclusive Humble Grape discoveries and have some fun with our Nez du Vin Aroma Challenge. Why not invite your friends - this could get competitive!
Wines for Every Day not Pay Day
Whatever the chancellor has in store for us in the forthcoming budget, you can rely on Humble Grape to discover exclusive, artisan wines that over-deliver on value and flavour.
Our tasting this month features a thrilling selection, perfect for that mid-week treat or end of month indulgence when your wallet is feeling the strain. Join us for this mini Tour de France, taking in the dynamic Languedoc, elegant Loire and aristocratic Bordeaux. We will prove you do not have to spend a fortune to discover impressive wines that won't break the bank to enjoy with that naughty TV dinner or take-away.
And we have a stimulating Challenge lined up for you too ...
Le Nez du Vin Challenge
A fun, competitive quiz to kick off the evening. We challenge you to flex your nose muscles in this light-hearted game that draws on the most important part of your 'tasting equipment'. Use it or lose it!
Simply nose your way through our special Nez du Vin samples and identify the selection of aromas (chosen because they replicate some of elements found in the tasting wines).
We have covetable prizes for the winning guests. How can you resist?
£40 per person: high-quality hand-crafted wines from £8 to £15 per bottle with plenty of iberico ham, chorizo, olive oil, artisan bread and farm house cheese.
Why are Humble Grape tastings different?
· The Wine: We are independent, so only choose wines we think are excellent quality to value - NOT what senior corporates tell us to show. To that end, wines that tasters rank highly are kept on the Humble Grape list; those that do not are dropped. New regions and wines are constantly being introduced.
· The Evening: Evenings are relaxing and entertaining. Yes, you will learn a lot. But it is fun, not pretentious and most people stay on after the tasting to chat and have a drink.
· The People: Although we can’t claim specific deals were done or lovebirds introduced at our wine tastings – we have definitely fostered a group of fun regulars from the City, legal fraternity and local corporates who have become friends.
· The Food: This is not your usual bowl of crackers fare. We pride ourselves with serving interesting canapés that compliment and bring out the best in our wine selections.
