The Grapehound Wine Tour® is a four day wine and spirits tasting celebration of greyhounds and greyhound adoption held every July in the Finger Lakes of NY. Ticket holders are invited to a welcome reception with food and wine tatsing on Thursday evening July 26 at Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards north of Watkins Glen.
The main event begins Friday at Atwater Estate Vineyards, a beautiful winery, high on a hill overlooking Seneca Lake, where we will have a huge vendor tent with vendors of jewelry, art, and greyhound items, along with food, music and, of course, wine tasting.
We even have a greyhound babysitting tent where attendees may leave their greyhounds while they shop, visit other wineries, or taste wine.
Every ticket holder gets a commemorative Grapehound wine glass and an "Adopt a Greyhound" car magnet. Ticket holders are also invited to taste wine at a number of area wineries around Seneca Lake on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Our tour includes a participating distillery and a participating brewery. Greyhounds are welcome at all participating host businesses.
On Sunday morning the greyhounds walk to nearby Taughannock Falls where a professional photographer is waiting to take your portrait with your greyhound.
