The seven week course covers the history, production and style of spirits of the world; Cognac, Amagnac and other brandies; scotch, bourbon and whiskies; white spirits, including vodka, rum, tequila, gin; and liqueurs and other flavored spirits. One class focuses on "The Art of the Cocktail". Tasting is part of every session. Aone hour examination includes 50 multiple-choice questions and a theoretical tasting note on one spirit and liqueur.  Successful candidates receive the WSET Spirits Certificate.

No previous spirits knowledge is required.  This is ideal for professionals in the retail, restaurant, or liquor wholesale business to differentiate and heighten their sales performance or for enthusiasts who want to maximize their beverage understanding.
