Event Details
Wine OR Wine & Food
Pinot Noir is not an easy grape to grow. But when the climate is right and the weather cooperates and the effort in the vineyard can pay off immensely! The wines it produces can be light red in color with notes of fresh cherries, strawberries, and bright acidity or it can also be deep in color with notes of baked cherry pie, strawberry preserves, mushrooms and earth, or anywhere in between. Regional influences dominate in influencing the style of Pinot Noirs. Some hold the top growths Burgundy, France as the benchmark for Pinot Noirs, while regions such as in Oregon, California, New Zealand are making quite an impact on the worlds opinion of what a great Pinot Noir tastes like.
Join us in a fun, relaxed, interactive environment to taste and learn about different styles of Pinot Noirs from these top producing regions around the world. Walk away with an understanding of what influences the differences amongst them, how to find and choose those styles that you prefer, and pair appropriately with food.
