Event Details
Wine OR Wine & Food
Chardonnay is practically a brand name around the world. Because it has millions of followers with vastly different opinions on which chardonnay style is best, it is grown and produced in just about every country in the world, with no two exactly alike. Many prefer the full-bodied styles of California’s Napa and Sonoma Valleys, other prefer the more crisp wines produced in cooler regions such as the Finger Lakes, New York or Chablis, France, and others would not sip anything other than a White Burgundy for their chardonnay fix. Further, in many regions including Australia, Chile, and the US, the trend these days is shifting from the full-bodied “oaky” chardonnays to those produced with little to no oak to produce more of a crisp, refreshing, and food-friendly style.
Join us in a fun, relaxed, interactive environment to taste and
learn about different styles of Chardonnays from around the world. Walk away
with an understanding of what influences the differences amongst them, how to
find and choose those styles that you prefer, and pair appropriately with food.
