!!!!!!!!WEEKEND FREE WINE AND BEER TASTING AGAIN @ RESERVE WINES LAS COLINAS
Hello there everyone ,Michael Locke here. As the new GM of Reserve Wines Las Colinas , I want to lead you into a weekend of passion and adventure because its a good way to cope with the Texas summer heat.

~~~~To start off this weekend were doing it up right to say the least with a tasty offering from Brew Dog Brewery in Scotland ,aigh!!!
~Dogma Ale:The Dogma is described on the bottle as "Ale brewed with honey, kola nut, poppy seed & guarana", components I'd sooner see in a smoothie than a beer. Still, it is my sworn duty to review this objectively, so I soldiered on. Being the closest vehicle to put some alcohol in my system didn't hurt my motivation either.
It is an orange-tinted amber brew with a thin, soft tan head. The head laces a bit but disappears pretty quickly. It offers smells of spice and lemon with a touch of sweetness. I'd be pretty excited to taste this if it were a lozenge, but I'm getting increasingly wary of this beer.
While the beer is light in feel, it has an almost succulent honey sweetness in the start. The taste evolves into more floral and tangy hop flavor with undertones of pear. It's what we professional beer tasters call "weird", which is not to say unpleasant. It manages to evade the stickier elements of a mead by finishing surprisingly dry, but it's still a broad departure from what most recognize as beer.
~~~Now for a sensuous white from the cool climate of Washington state and our pal Mr.Charles Smith.

~Charles Smith "Eve" Chardonnay:
A California boy born and raised, Charles Smith’s current life in wine began when he passed through the Walla Walla Valley by happenstance during a road trip 10 years ago. At the time Smith was living in Denmark and paying his bills by managing rock bands like The Raveonettes and The Cardigans. While in Walla Walla, Smith befriended a local winemaker and was convinced to move to Washington and start making wine himself.

Flash forward a decade and Charles Smith is now one of the Northwest’s hippest and most distinguished winemakers. Not only does he have a formidable arsenal of critically acclaimed high end wines to his name, he also makes some of the best value wines around.

The “Eve” Chardonnay is one of the best examples of Charles Smith’s dedication to quality, affordable vino. Smith is a master at capturing a particular region’s best characteristics and instilling them in his wines. In “Eve” this means a lighter, fresher wine thanks to Washington’s cooler temperatures. Expect snappy, crisp aromas and juicy notes of apple and pear.

~~~~~And For the heat of passion to finish the evening ,an amazing Auzzy blend with a fitting name.
~Some Young Punks Wines"Passion has red lips"Cab Shiraz blend:
Inky ruby. Complex aromas of vivid red and dark berries, pungent herbs and fresh flowers. Round and seductive, with silky raspberry and blackberry preserve flavors braced by nervy minerality. Stains the palate with energetic red berry flavors, with no intrusive tannins to get in the way of the fruit. Immediately appealing and impressive for its clarity, balance and finishing urgency.
