Messina Hof Hosts Wine Appreciation Class: “Wine and Food Pairing”

Messina Hof, the fastest growing award-winning winery and resort in Texas, will hold a Wine Appreciation Class, focused on “Food and Wine Pairing,” on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at 3 p.m.
The art of wine and food pairing developed historically through local chefs pairing their cuisine with local wines. The modern goal of wine and food pairing is to find different combinations that compliment each other to make dining experiences more enjoyable.
Guests will have the opportunity to sample Messina Hof’s award wining wines and learn some of the essential rules of this art and how to apply them in their day to day life. After completing this class guests should be able to make their next elegant dinner party a success.
Messina Hof’s monthly Wine Appreciation Classes are taught so everyone from beginner to connoisseur can follow along and learn about the fabulous world of fine wine. Classes last 90 minutes and include light cheeses and wine.
