        The worldwide popularity of Chardonnay as the grape of choice for great dry white wines is best evident by the sheer number of great ones available to consumers.

        Two regions dominate the marketplace: white Burgundy, where Chardonnay originated and grew its reputation; and California, where it has thrived.  But anyone who thinks that great Chardonnay is confined to these two regions should attend The Chardonnay Open to discover the error of your ways, as EWS will include five worthy Chardonnay challengers from five continents.  And one of them is not Antarctica!

        For this exciting blind tasting, allowing $100 as our upper price point, we’ve included four white Burgundies, four California Chardonnays, plus five “miscellaneous” that all have two things in common.  They are all Chardonnays, and they are all top shelf. 

        Honestly, what could be a more enjoyable way to spend a warm August evening than joining us for this fun-filled event?
