In celebration of the highly anticipated reopening of Stew Leonard’s Wines in Farmingdale, NY, James Mariani, family proprietor of the world-renowned Castello Banfi estate in Tuscany, will lead guests and customers through a tasting of some of his family’s most admired wines.
Earlier this spring, Castello Banfi was declared “Italy’s Top Wine Estate” at the prestigious VinItaly wine fair in Verona, Italy. The award represents the 12th time in 17 years that Castello Banfi has been named Italy’s best winery, in addition to earning the coveted Premio Gran VinItaly (Vinitaly Grand Award) an unprecedented four times.
The reopening of Stew Leonard’s Farmingdale location concludes a series of recent renovations, including installation of new wood floors and construction of new register areas built from empty wooden wine cases.
At the tasting, Mr. Mariani will sample a selection of Banfi wines including:
· Castello Banfi Brunello di Montalcino 2004
· Banfi Toscana Centine Rosso
· Vigne Regali Principessa Gavi
· Rosa Regale
Bottles of each, ranging in price from $10 - $60, will be available for purchase.
