The Berks County Wine Trail announces its new spring wine tasting event: "A Taste of Berks!"
"A Taste of Berks!" will take place Saturday April 17th and Sunday April 18th from Noon to 5 PM both days. Wine lovers, foodies or any who loves a new culinary adventure can visit any of the Berks County wineries along this wine trail during this event weekend and sample featured wines (locally produced) paired with regional cuisine. During this "self-guided" tour....wine-trailers may plan to visit all 8 wineries or select a handful of wineries they'd like to visit in one day or plan to experience during the two day event.
Previous celebrations have been culinary pairings that define spring's arrival, this year the trail decided to touch back to its roots by offering wine & food pairings that show off what traditional and local dishes deliciously define this region. Spring feels like it is coming late this year due to the seemingly endless days of heavy snow and rain...so the winemakers felt like nothing better than getting comfy with local dishes and local wines!
This wine pairing event is free; no reservations or tickets required. However, the wine trail does like to point out that some of the member wineries charge a nominal/refundable fee to taste offerings from their regular wine tasting menus.
For an appetizing look at what pairings you'll enjoy sampling during "A Taste of Berks!" visit the "Events" page of www.berkscountywinetrail.com for menu and pairings info.
