Apulia, called Puglia in Italian, is the region on the 'heel' of the Italian boot. This 'peninsula within the peninsula' is among the biggest producers of wine and olive oil. Puglia is also a world-known producer of fresh vegetables and a wonderful year-round  source of fresh fish and supreme cheeses. A young and trendy southern region, where long summers, crystal clean sea water, fertile soil and gentle hills are an inspiration for its creative and warm Pugliesi inhabitants.

On April 22, 2010, Slow Food Ottawa is proud to announce its
Third Annual Dinner at DiVino Wine Studio on Preston Street, Ottawa, this year featuring the wine, cuisine and landscapes of Puglia.

At this educational dinner, hosted by Italian Sommelier Antonio Mauriello, you will learn about wine areas and native grapes from Puglia, while Chef Gino Mastellotto will demonstrate and reveal some of the most intriguing delicious secrets from that region.

Six courses (Aperitif, Antipasto, Pasta, Secondo, Contorno, Dolce)
