JET broke out of their native Australia in 2003 and established themselves as a multi-platinum, international success story, merging the charisma and energy of classic rock and roll with punk swagger. Their debut Get Born produced the runaway hit singles “Are You Gonna Be My Girl”, "Cold Hard B***h", and "Rollover DJ" and record sales hit 4 million partly spurred by their inclusion in the 2nd ever iPod Ad. AMG compares JET to “a mix between the White Stripes' bluesy insouciance & AC/DC's cockeyed swagger,” and Entertainment Weekly notes, “The overall aesthetic is young and loud.”
