Join Chef Samantha Izzo of Simply Red Bistro in the kitchen on a variety of adventuresome culinary journeys that began in February and continue in April and June.
Each class menu is seasonally inspired by the bounty of the season and to encourage experimentation with new flavor combinations and ingredients you may have never tried.
Not only will you take away new skills and knowledge, you will enjoy the meal with your new friends, the Chef herself, along with perfectly paired Sheldrake Point wines.
Note: Class size is intended to be intimate and is therefore limited to 16 people.
You will help create the following Taste of Spring menu which is inspired by the new season’s offerings:
· Whole steamed artichokes with a mint, cream cheese sauce for dipping.
· Leg of lamb marinated in the romantic spices of the Middle East and olives, mint & lemon.
· Exotic dipping sauces liven up the feast and your taste buds: mint, tahini & lime sauce, harissa sauce, spicy mint sauce and a mango mint chutney.
· A fingerling, winter green salad dressed with a hot bacon, sherry vinaigrette .
· The grand finale will be a sweet, comforting dessert of saffron, yellow raisin and ginger rice pudding.
Cost: $55 per person - includes 3 hour instruction, culminating meal and accompanying wine.
