Russian River Vineyards plays matchmaker:  Enjoy

wine and chocolate pairings on Valentine’s Day!

           Decadent chocolate and wine truffles — made with red wines from Russian River Vineyards — will be matched with a selection of artisan wines in a special Valentine’s Day celebration at the Forestville winery.

            Debra Del Fiorentino, Certified Wine Professional and Sommelier, will offer her expert pairing advice to tasting room guests from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 13.  There is a $5 charge for the tasting, which is waived with a wine purchase. 

            While wine and chocolate have been linked romantically for centuries, finding the ideal combination isn’t always easy.  Del Fiorentino will explain the subtle nuances of each and how to find the perfect “marriage.”  The chocolates will be made at the winery’s on-site restaurant — Corks @ Russian River Vineyards — under the supervision of Chef Jerry Mitchell.

            Russian River Vineyards is located at 5700 Gravenstein Highway North in Forestville.
