Occasio Winery Celebrates Valentine’s Weekend with Two New Releases -         2008 Del Arroyo Vineyard Zinfandel and 2009 Del Arroyo Vineyard Rosé

Two new, small lot releases just in time for Valentine’s Day!

Occasio Winery will be holding a tasting of its two new releases and offering small plate appetizers paired to match each wine.  The pairing is complimentary for Occasio Wine Society Members and $5.00 for non-members.

2008 Del Arroyo Vineyard Zinfandel (only 165 cases made)

The 2008 growing season concentrated the flavors of the fruit, allowing us to craft an elegant yet full bodied Zinfandel from both the Deaver and Dupratt clones.  Bright raspberry, pomegranate, white pepper, and spice linger pleasantly on the palate. A truly exceptional expression of Livermore Valley Zinfandel!

                    2009 Del Arroyo Vineyard Rosé ( only 35 cases made)

A dry Rosé produced by the traditional saigneé method, where free run, red wine juice is removed from the skins after very short contact.  A beautiful, elegant wine with hints of strawberry and rhubarb.  With such limited quantity, this wine will quickly sell out!
