Wine OR Wine & Food Event

Wine OR Wine & Food

It has been a year and a half since we have featured the wines of Emilio Bulfon and it is sure to be our wine event of the year. Come and hear the amazing story of how Emilio Bulfon found and nursed back to life Friulian vine varietals thought to be lost - some since Roman times. This gives a whole new meaning to "Old Vines" as varietals like Sciaglin, Piculit Neri, Forgiarin, and Civadin are hundreds of years old. The fruit is so perfect it is aged in stainless steel only and is ready to drink in 12 months. The kicker is that Colorado and one restaurant in Chicago are the only places in the U.S. where Emilio Bulfon is available. Join Charles Bloomfield from TerraNova Wines in Boulder as we enjoy pairing these sensational wines with the cuisine of Friuli. Cost is $49 plus tax and tip with the proceeds benefiting children orphaned by the recent earthquake in Haiti. Reservations are made by calling Coaltrain Wine & Spirits, 719-475-9700.
