Good food, good wine, and romance are an inseparable trio, especially with Valentine's Day upon us. No one is more aware of this than Damian Martineau, chef-owner of Damian's on the River. He has created a special five-course Wine Dinner designed especially for lovers, replete with ingredients known for their aphrodisiacal qualities. Each course will be paired with a fine wine, chosen not only for its compatibility with the food but for a sensuality appropriate for the occasion as well. The wines include: Bell Bird Bay Merlot (New Zealand), Alpha Domus Chardonnay (New Zealand), Manu Pinot Noir (New Zealand), Red Dust Shiraz (Australia), and Rozes Reserve Porto (Portugal).
